Protect your Privacy
For your protection, please do not include account numbers, Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, passwords, or other nonpublic information in your email. For more information regarding how we protect client information, you may review a copy of our Privacy Policy.

Transaction Instructions
Instructions with respect to securities transactions such as trade requests, must be received verbally. Any instruction with respect to a securities transaction provided in any other manner (via email, phone message, etc.) will not be acted upon until a Haverford representative has spoken with you – our client – directly.

Monitor Your Accounts
You may know sooner than anyone if something has gone missing from your account or if changes have been made that you did not initiate. As a general rule of thumb, you should review all of your monthly statements (from Haverford as well as other banking institutions, credit card companies, etc.). If you spot something unusual, report it immediately. Also, every U.S. citizen is entitled to one free annual credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Take advantage of the benefit to see if there has been a change in your credit rating or any request for new credit. It can be an indication that someone has stolen your identity or tampered with your accounts.

Email Phishing
From time to time, we have seen emails from legitimate client email addresses that appear to be sent as a result of “phishing” (pronounced “fishing”) schemes. Phishing is an attempt to solicit personal information from unsuspecting recipients. Phishing emails are generally crafted to appear as if they were sent from a legitimate organization, such as your banking institution or credit card company, or an individual known by you. Often, they will incorporate company logos and replicate web pages in order to appear official. The recipient may be asked to click a link and then provide personal information such as account usernames and passwords.

Firms such as Haverford, as well as consumers, must be suspicious of emails requesting personally identifiable information. Legitimate companies will not call or send emails requiring such information. If you receive a message that appears to be from someone at Haverford requesting sensitive information or if you are concerned about your account, contact your Relationship Management Team by phone.
