Promotions from Within in Accounting and Research Teams Speaks to Strength of Team and Investment in World Class Leadership
The Haverford Trust Company, a private wealth management firm, recently announced several promotions in their Accounting and Research Teams. Tim Hoyle was promoted to Chief Investment Officer and will continue to work directly with Hank Smith, Director, Head of Investment Strategy. Maxine Cuffe and Halie O’Shea were elevated to Vice President, Director of Global Strategies and Vice President, Director of Research, respectively. Eric McCracken was promoted to Vice President, Controller. The moves reinforce Haverford’s commitment to providing the highest quality of leadership and expertise to clients.

Hoyle assumes the role of Chief Investment Officer after spending the past 17 years at the firm, most recently as Co-CIO. In his new role, Tim will oversee the firm’s Research Team to ensure investment decisions are consistent with Haverford’s Quality Investing philosophy. As a voting member of the Investment Selection Committee, he is responsible for making strategic allocation decisions and selecting equity and fixed income securities. Hoyle will work alongside Hank Smith, an integral member of the firm since 1991, to ensure quality, consistency and implementation of the investment philosophy.
Maxine Cuffe and Halie O’Shea have each exemplified excellence and discipline in their roles and have made a significant, positive impact on Haverford clients and their portfolios. As Vice President, Director of Global Strategies, and Vice President, Director of Research, respectively, Cuffe and O’Shea will provide quantitative and fundamental research to be used by the Research Team and the firm’s Investment Selection Committee. Cuffe joined the firm in 2016 and O’Shea joined in 2017.
As Vice President, Controller, McCracken will manage all finance and accounting operations for the firm. He will also coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, oversee audits, billing and general accounting. McCracken has been with Haverford since 1999 and has more than 20 years of experience in finance.
