The Haverford Trust Company, a private firm providing investment management, trust and estate administration, private banking, wealth planning, investment solutions for nonprofits, and retirement plan services, announced today that Keith Aleardi has been appointed the firm’s President. Aleardi joins Haverford with more than 30 years of experience in the investment management industry, most recently serving as Chief Investment Officer & Director of Wealth Management at Fulton Private Bank. As President, Aleardi will work alongside the leadership team, executive committee and Board of Directors to continue to develop the people and the business strategies that will best support Haverford’s clients.

“We are thrilled to welcome Keith to the Haverford team. His knowledge and experience in the wealth management industry coupled with his leadership capabilities make him an asset to our firm,” said Joseph J. McLaughlin, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Haverford Trust. “Keith has already embraced Haverford’s core values and culture of client service, and we look forward to seeing him add to our continued growth and success.”

Most recently serving for 12 years as Chief Investment Officer & Director of Wealth Management at Fulton Private Bank in Lancaster, Pa., Aleardi was responsible for developing a strategic vision for the organization and leading relationship management and new business development for Wealth Advisory, Fiduciary and Endowment businesses. Prior to Fulton, Aleardi served as the Senior Vice President at PNC Wealth Management.

“Haverford’s unparalleled commitment to their core values of Quality, Integrity, Respect, and Discipline, in addition to an unwavering dedication to serving their clients is what drew me to the firm,” said Keith Aleardi, President of Haverford Trust. “I am humbled to join a team of talented, dedicated and knowledgeable professionals and to help expand upon Haverford’s already first-class reputation.”

In addition to his work within the wealth management industry, Aleardi is a member of the CFA Institute & CFA Society of Philadelphia, and serves on the Investment Committee for the Board of Trustees at Ursinus College. He received his Masters of Science in Banking & Finance Management at Boston University and his Bachelor of Arts, Economics, at Ursinus College.

Aleardi succeeds Binney Wietlisbach, who has served as President since 2008 and has been at the firm since 1992. Wietlisbach will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as Vice Chair. During her tenure, Haverford doubled its headcount and grew its assets under management by more than 400 percent. Wietlisbach also established Haverford Trust’s signature Speaker Series for Women event, which has helped educate, empower and inspire more than 4,000 women since 2010.

“Keith is a remarkable leader and presence in our industry and welcoming him to our team felt like a natural extension of my tenure,” said Binney Wietlisbach, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors and outgoing President. “When speaking with Keith, it was clear that he shares a similar vision to me and our entire leadership team, and I’m confident he will ensure that Haverford Trust continues to exceed our clients’ goals and lead the way in the evolution of our firm.”
