RADNOR, PA — JUNE 19, 2019 — The Haverford Trust Company, a private firm providing wealth management, trust and estate administration, banking services, financial planning, solutions for nonprofits, and retirement plan services, recently announced that Judy Stein has joined the firm as Trust Counsel. In her role, Stein will oversee all legal aspects of Haverford’s Trust and Estate Administration team and advise senior management on fiduciary risk and legal matters. Stein’s appointment reinforces Haverford’s commitment to investing in quality leadership in order to provide a greater level of client service and expertise both in investment management and fiduciary administration.

Stein has over 35 years of experience in the wealth management industry, both as an attorney in private practice and supporting wealth management departments of financial services institutions. Prior to joining Haverford, Stein served as Senior Managing Counsel and Managing Director for BNY Mellon in Philadelphia, Pa. and also oversaw a national team of wealth management lawyers and paralegals. At Haverford, Stein will report to John Niles, Vice President of Trust and Estate Administration and will be responsible for providing legal expertise on trust, estate, tax and fiduciary issues affecting new and existing trust relationships.

Stein received her Juris Doctorate degree cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law in Boston, Mass. and her Bachelor of Science in Speech from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Stein is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association Probate and Trust Law Section, for which she currently sits on the Executive Committee and of which she was Chair. She is also a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.
