Philadelphia Business Journal—Each year, the Philadelphia Business Journal recognizes partnerships between for-profit companies and nonprofit organizations that have teamed up to make a difference in the region. This year, the partnership between The Haverford Trust Company and Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School has been selected as a Faces of Philanthropy honoree. Since 2012, Haverford has sponsored a work-study program with Cristo Rey, where students learn investing skills and participate in a stock market simulation, while also embedding with a business sector.
