Every day we make thousands of decisions. Our brains absorb huge amounts of complex data, but we can’t possibly use all that information to make every decision.  So sometimes our brains use mental shortcuts to make decisions more efficiently—maybe not optimal, but fast and easy.

Maxine Cuffe, CFA, Senior Research Analyst, spoke to a crowd of over 100 women at the HAVERFORD SPEAKER SERIES for WOMEN® event, Behavioral Finance: What affects our decisions?, held on March 8, 2019 at the Museum of the American Revolution.   She talked about some of the common types of biases and gave actionable ways we can manage our natural tendencies.
