Portfolio Manager David T. Moniz, CFA, CFP®, recently celebrated his 15th anniversary working at Haverford Trust. We sat down with him to look back on his time here thus far and highlight some of his favorite lessons and accomplishments. We thank Dave for 15 exceptional years of providing Quality service to our clients and look forward to many more.
What position did you have when you first started at Haverford?
My first position at Haverford was Trust Operations Administrator.
What has working at Haverford done for you personally or professionally?
Throughout the years, Haverford’s management team has supported me and provided financial reimbursement as I pursued various educational pursuits including getting my MBA, CFA, CFP®, in addition to ongoing continuous education. More importantly, I came to recognize that while individual accomplishments are important, being able to work as a team is infinitely more powerful. The guidance and relationships I have received from my supervisors and coworkers were necessary for me to succeed in every facet of my work.
What advice do you have for new team members just starting out in their careers?
My advice is to continually try and better yourself and never stop learning. Also, look for opportunities to contribute to the company beyond just your job description.
What has kept you at Haverford for so many years?
There are many reasons why I have stayed a loyal Haverford employee, these are the first that come to mind:
1) The tight-knit corporate culture
2) The management team listens and provides the resources for us to succeed
3) The work is rewarding
4) Haverford is a relatively small financial services company and hard work gets noticed

What are you most proud of during your time here?
My proudest moments at Haverford have come from the handful of times I’ve received a kindly worded letter from a client, letting me know how appreciative they were of the service I provided.
